Removing or Unlinking a Device

If a child gets a new device or you need to stop monitoring a specific one, follow these steps.

Removing a Device

1. Go to Settings > Devices
2. Find the device in the list and click the three-dot menu
3. Select Remove Device
4. Confirm the removal

The device is immediately unlinked. If the 221Buddy Companion app is still installed, it will deactivate automatically on the next sync.

What Happens to Historical Data

Removing a device does not delete historical activity data. Reports for the removed device remain available for 90 days.

Replacing a Device

If your child is switching to a new device, remove the old device first, then follow the steps in Linking a New Device.
