Sync Issues and Missing Data

If activity data isn't appearing on your dashboard, or reports seem incomplete, follow these steps.

Check Device Connectivity

The Companion app syncs data when the child's device has an active internet connection. Make sure the device is connected to Wi-Fi or has cellular data enabled.

Force a Manual Sync

  1. Open the 221Buddy Companion app on the child's device
  2. Tap the menu icon and select Sync Now
  3. Wait for the sync to complete (usually 10–30 seconds)

Verify the Device is Linked

On your parent dashboard, go to Settings > Devices and confirm the device shows a Connected status. If it shows Offline, the Companion app may have been uninstalled or had its permissions revoked.

Re-grant Permissions

  • iOS: Settings > 221Buddy Companion — ensure all permissions are granted
  • Android: Settings > Apps > 221Buddy Companion > Permissions

Data Delay

Reports may be delayed by up to 1 hour during periods of high activity. If data is more than 3 hours late, contact support.
